Darlington County Planning Commission
The Planning Commission meets once a month to hear, review and advise on land development issues, as well as grant or deny approval for subdivisions, ordinances, towers, and variances. The Commission works closely with the Planning Staff providing guidance, direction and approval in proposed development and regulation.
Membership: The Planning Commission is an 8-member board, whose members are appointed by the Darlington County Council for up to two 3-year terms. Members generally represent different parts of the County.
Planning Commission Meeting Schedule: The staff receives all agenda items for the regular Planning Commission meetings. These meetings are scheduled normally on the third Tuesday of each month at the Courthouse Annex/EMS Building on 1625 Harry Byrd Hwy, Darlington just west of the Darlington Raceway at 5:30 PM. A complete request or application to appear on the meeting agenda must be received no later than the first Tuesday of each month.
