The Codes Enforcement Department handles building permits, plan reviews, mobile home inspections, litter control, nuisance and animal control. We do not do site plans, septic tanks or mobile home registration. Animal control is for stray cats and dogs only. We do not pick up pets, to surrender your pet please contact the Humane Society. For animal abuse or animal fighting contact the sheriffs department at 843-398-4501. We do not inspect rental properties. Tenant complaints on living conditions should be made to the State Housing Authority at 803-734-2000.
