The Codes Enforcement Department handles building permits, plan reviews, mobile home inspections, litter control, nuisance, animal control and mosquito control. We do not do site plans, septic tanks or mobile home registration. Animal control is for stray cats and dogs only. We do not pick up pets. For animal abuse or animal fighting contact the sheriffs department (843-398-4501). We do not inspect rental properties. Tenant complaints on living conditions should be made to the State Housing Authority (803-734-2000).
